The Breakaway

So a week ago, I got a class at DLSU, which I thought was creative writing for fiction or non-fiction. It was–much to my surprise–creative writing for poetry. Poetry class was not something I was hoping for, since I did want to learn how to write literature. I’ve been planning to write a book ever since I got into my university. I just don’t have the knowledge and experience to write it. (Experience=life experience. Not as a writer, but as a person).

Our professor told us to get a brand new notebook for journal entries. He wants us to see how we think and how we give our opinions on something–which I believe I am excellent in doing aka blogging. Basically, he wants to know that we are alive, and I do mean that in the most literal of sense hahahaha! Our first entry: anything you want to talk about. So here’s what I said. (The following has been greatly edited and improved.) Continue reading “The Breakaway”

Something That You Are Proud Of (30 Day Challenge, day 17) PHOTOS

If there was one thing I was really proud of… I guess it would be my skills as a photographer. I only have a Nikon D60 with a 18-55mm kit lens and a 55-200mm kit lens, SB-600 and a third-party battery grip, BUT I still manage to take decent photographs. I don’t use any software except iPhoto (just to correct the colour, or to make it ). Here are some pictures I think that look great:

Weekend Getaway Before the School Year Starts!

at the beach (30 Day Challenge, day 14. What I wore)

Last Friday while I was out with a friend from school, I got a call from my friend (Martina) at school lol. She said “Are you doing anything tomorrow?” “Probably, why?” “You wanna go to Tali beach? It’ll be an overnight thing” “Uhhh…” I was extremely surprised hahaha! I mean that was just sooooooo last-minute, BUT I FREAKIN’, LOVED THE IDEA.

I needed the vacation… I worked my ass off for two terms and took PE summer courses (Mon-Sat 8AM-3PM) Yeah. Definitely needed the vacation. This was kinda like my treat to myself for going on the Honour Roll for two terms, so I had a personal mission to convince my mother that I had to take this weekend getaway that was gonna happen in 6 hours. We Never Grow Up When it Comes to Attraction

Remember way back when you were a kid and you had a crush on someone you knew? Then somehow.. you find yourself throwing peas at the boy you like or you find yourself being mean to the girl you like. Aahh… good times, good times… BUT WAIT, there’s more!

I’ve noticed we actually never grow up when we like someone. No matter how old we are, how mature we are, we act like children when we see the person we like. This is a fact because this is what’s happening to me now. But whether I want to go out with her, that’s a whole new thing.

Love makes everyone young, that’s the truth

Things You Want to Say to an Ex (30 Day Challenge, day 5)

Dear ex-girlfriend,

It’s been quite a long time since we last communicated at all. I really don’t know what to say, but rest assured I am doing better than before. I won’t lie, I’m not doing fine nor am I doing great, but I am doing better. There have been many things that you taught me in the past and guess what, I’m still learning. I am entirely grateful that you came into my life. And I’ll keep saying this… I really do not know how to repay you, though I you’d say “Just live out your life and don’t screw it up” or something like. So now, I guess the only advice I could give is: don’t stop being who you are. You’re the sunshine in the room, in everybody’s life and that’s the one thing you’re really good at. I’m still amazed that it takes no effort for you to do that, anyway.. I hope you’re doing well, I wish you all the happiness. When we somehow cross paths again, I hope it wouldn’t be so awkward.
